ABSTRACT

Schizophrenia is type of severe mental disoder that affect mind, feeling, and behavior of individual which is characterized by losing understanding of reality and loss of insight power. Risk of violence behavior is emotional condition which marked by frustation mix feeling and hate or anger which can be showed to circle, ownself or destrucktion, the impact is high risk of harming, other people and the environmen .Group activity therapy is type of safe non farmakology therapy to decrease symtomps of violence behavior risk in schizophrenia’s patient. This study’s aim is to determine the description of the applicaton of group activity therapy: Perception stimulation toward symtomps in schizophrenia’s patient trough a psicological nursing care approach. This type of research is descriptive with a case study approach. Subject used a number of 2 people with criteria schizophrenia’s patient with risk of violence behavior and cooperative. Symtomps of violence behavior risk measurement using questionnaire sheet for 5consecutived days. The results of data analysis showed that subject I experienced a decrease in symtomps of violence behavior risk from 19 to 14, subject II experienced a decrease in symtomps of violence behavior risk from to 7. The result of this case study concluded that there were decrease symtomps of violence behavior risk in schizophrenia’s patient. Group activity therapy: Perseption stimulation is reccomended as nursing intervention in risk of violence behavior management because they is able to decrease symtomps of violence behavior risk significantly and easily applied.
