ABSTRACT
Background: Hallucinations are disorders of a person's perception without external stimuli that make the sufferer unable to control his own thoughts and feelings. People with hallucinations assume that the cause of hallucinations comes from their environment. Perception disorders or hallucinations will result in a person doing bad actions such as disturbing the surrounding environment, damaging goods, and committing suicide. One of the interventions to control it is murotal therapy. This therapy is carried out by the method of listening to the holy verses of the Koran for 15-30 minutes. Purpose: to describe and analyze the symptoms of hallucinations before and after murotal therapy. Methods: this research uses descriptive methods with a case study approach. The subjects of this study were 2 people who fit the inclusion criteria. Results: Subject I before being given murotal therapy got hallucinatory symptoms as many as 24, after murotal therapy for three consecutive times the symptoms of hallucinations became 19. Subject II before murotal therapy got 22 hallucinatory symptoms, after murotal therapy for three consecutive times the symptoms of hallucinations became 13. Conclusion: The decrease of hallucination symptoms from both subjects showed that murotal therapy was able to control the hallucinatory symptoms. Murotal therapy can be used to control the symptoms of hallucinations.
